You can find us at all the Island Farmer’s Markets this season:
Located at the New Ag Hall in West Tisbury.
The Kitchen Porch got her start at the Farmer’s Market in West Tisbury back in 1988. We sold spicy peanut sauce, vinegars, salad dressings, pestos, and smoked bluefish pate. We established our relationships with farmers when they had an abumndance and needed to preserve their crop. Fresh tomato salsa, hot pepper sauce, jams and close farmer relationships grew.Oliver Osnoss, Jan’s son was born in 1990 and he grew up selling his mom’s goodies on Saturdays and Wednesdays. The catering business expanded from the Market.
It may be wild pickled ramps or Morning Glory Farm strawberries and balsamic jam or our own island peach chutney.
The Farmer’s Market is the place we feel most at home and connected to the local growers and suppliers. Every week our menu changes, just because we like to try new items, but here is a list of recent offerings for the 2014 market season:
•Raw Granola Bars
• Organic Hummus with Za’atar
•Spicy Peanut Sauce
•Organic Preserved Lemons
