Welcome to Living Local on Martha’s Vineyard and Beyond.  This blog explores all aspects of living locally from inspirations to sources.

Being a culinary professional for 25 years with a catering business, I’ve found a lot of room for further exploration of local sources for food and products.

I am inspired by conversations I have with farmers, gardeners, moms & dads, fishermen, chefs, friends, kids, eaters and lovers.  I’ve expanded this exploration beyond my community while traveling for both work and pleasure.

2 cups Slow Food

one cup Michael Pollan

two cups Wendell Berry

1/4 cup Weston Price

mix with Berkshire lard

a handful of Julia Child

a dash of Will Allen

pinch of R.W. Apple, Jr.

tablespoon or two of Marion Nestle

End with a fine dessert Reisling…

and come back for seconds…
