About Kitchen Porch Catering

JanBuhrman-Eli PhotoAt Kitchen Porch, we are passionate about food and supporting our local community. We care about people, animals and our earth. We source produce in season from local farms. Meat and poultry is humanely raised, and fish and seafood are sources from sustainable fisheries.

We have been catering on Martha’s Vineyard, MA, since 1988. We offer full-service local catering from 20 to 600. We provide personal chef services as well as drop off dinners for 20 or more guests. We are committed to using local, sustainable foods in all our menus. We offer Kosher meals. Our vegan and vegetarian wedding menus are creative and outstanding.

Recycling is a priority in the disposal of waste. We raise pigs off the kitchen compost. We pay attention to how far supplies travel to get to our kitchen and weigh the cost with the need.

BOV LOGO 2015We give to our community by donating dinners and advertising with local non-profits. All our employees are paid well beyond the minimum wage and we work together to feel good about what we do. We are committed to excellence and sometimes we actually pull it off!

A Note from Jan Buhrman

“Our food is ridiculously fresh with menus that reflect the seasons. We work closely with the local growers, producers and farmers to create seasonal menus of rare and fine flavors.

We believe that we can make the world a better place by buying local and supporting other community businesses. We keep our staff happy and pride ourselves in providing outstanding service. We care about food and aesthetics and preserving our local culture.”
