Cooking Class & Menemsha Tour: Fish, Fish, Fish

Dec. 28, 1-5 p.m. 

We will begin our afternoon in Menemsha with a behind-the-scenes tour of this historic fishing village.
We will gather the fish for our cooking class and head back to the kitchen where we’ll learn about different types of fish. Sustainability, aquaculture and traceability will all demystified and explored through conversations as we prepare a meal centered around fish.
We’ll learn to sear fish, steam shellfish, make a stock and create a fabulous sauce.

Seared Fish with Beurre Blanc
Pan Roasted Fish with Tomatoes
Steamed Clams with Herbs and Tomatoes
Fish Fumé and Fish Soup
Crispy Salad with Pomegranates and Citrus


On Dec. 28:
  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to start time to check in. Classes start on time!
  • We suggest appropriate, dry or warm clothes (rain or shine).
  • Closed toe shoes are also suggested and we ask that long hair is tied back for all classes.
  • All cooking class students receive a 10% discount on any purchase made on the day of the class.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Changes or cancellations made 7 days or more before the class date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than a week before the class are non-refundable.
  • No refunds, credits, rebookings or date exchanges can be given for cancellations or no-shows.
  • If this policy doesn’t work for you, please do not pre-enroll, as walk-ins are welcome if space is available.
  • Reservations are transferable, so if you are unable to attend a class you may send someone in your place without notice.
  • In rare cases, we may have to cancel a class. We will provide you with 24 hours notice and a full refund.

Substitutions in class: 

  • Sometimes we may need to substitute ingredients, menu items, recipes or instructors.


  • You are always welcome to bring your own wine or other beverages.
