Farm Tour
9 AM -1 PM
$75-$110 (depending on the number of participants)

Oysters for breakfast! We will begin our day in Menemsha with a behind-the-scenes tour of this fishing village. Learn about the history of the fishing industry and the decline of one of our most treasured resources. Find an understanding of how we can each make a difference in our food systems by our dinner table decisions. We will learn about preparing clams, how to shuck oysters, and how to select the finest lobsters. We will make our way to a farm in Chilmark, where the day is spent gathering eggs, salad greens and mushrooms. This is a great opportunity to see, firsthand, the systems in place behind organic farming and growing. This leads us to a better understanding of how one family makes their living here on Martha’s Vineyard. There we will gather and pick our lunch. The tour will be followed by a family supper highlighted by preparing paella together. The menu will specifically reflect what we harvest that morning.

Farm Dinner
5-9 PM

We all love to sit down to a local farm fresh meal, but this is also about reconnecting to where our food comes from. It is a time to honor our local farmers and others directly involved in providing us with fresh local food, all harvested with care and appreciation for those who will enjoy it!

Our setting and table will reflect the elements of truly enjoying a meal on the farm. Casual and elegant at the same time, the food will be the centerpiece and take the stage. We’ll feast on the freshest farm offerings while we bask in the environment our food originated from and dine with our farmers. Hear the local lore, challenges and joys of connecting with farmers and fisherman.

Cooking Class and Dinners: $95

Join us in Katama where we begin the morning in the bay visiting an oyster farm. Learn the art of oystering. We’ll collect our dinner alongside the farmers. We will then make our way to the largest farm on the Vineyard for a behind-the-scenes tour with the farmer of the herb garden and kitchen where we will see our meal prepared. Lunch will be served at picnic tables among the flowers and vegetables.

We will then set off to gather ingredients for dinner, featuring a 2.5 hour narrated tour of Martha’s Vineyard with two stops at farms along the way.  (Trolley: 32 passengers; or Bus: 42 passengers)

The tour ends at our kitchen where you will be greeted with a cocktail and cooking class.
The two hour cooking class features all of our gathered bounty from our tours of the day. Hors d’oeuvres will be there to nourish throughout the class.  The evening will end with dinner paired with wine.
