	The Kitchen Porch hand selects meat from The Allen Farm. Lamb, pork, beef and chicken are all free of chemicals, fertilizers, and growth hormones and are fed completely organically grown grass. This relationship of organic growing and animal husbandry makes for the finest meat available. Allen Farm Sheep are raised overlooking the beautiful vista of the Atlantic Ocean. Pesticides and chemical fertilizers have never been used on this 300-year old farm in Chilmark. Jan Buhrman and Clarissa Allen also run a Holiday Shop at the Allen Farm Store. Every December, the Allen Farm opens their doors to the public for a true New England Celebration. Fire roars in the open hearth, and delicious foods are spread out on the farm table. Handmade Island products including Authentic plum puddings, complete with recipes and muslin wrapping, are Jan's specialty. Please join us this December 8th for our annual Open House at the Allen Farm We will be serving farm sausages, beef stew, cheeses, eggnog and cider from 11-5
